NEWS is the PAGASA project name of the weather visualization, which stands for No Extreme Weather Surprises. Real-time 24-hr forecast of selected meteorological parameters taken from the COSMO numerical model. This includes hourly forecast of rainfall, wind speed and direction and temperature. Forecasts take in a form of visual maps from the national scale to the municipal/city scale, or hourly graphs based on the nominated google map place.
